Hold Information
It's preferred, though not required, that you send hold requests
before sending in your order. This way you can be assured of
getting the items you want. If you don't send a hold request
first and one or more of the items you want are already sold
then a credit will be put on your account unless otherwise
requested. After you send a request you will receive an email
confirming which items are available and being held. You'll also
receive the information on shipping, payment methods, etc.
Holds can only be placed on items currently in stock. If you
want something that's not listed you can be added to the monthly
or daily update list by clicking below and sending a blank email:

When making your hold requests please note the the following:
1. Please only request a hold if you're certain that you're going
to order the item(s) and you're ready to send payment. If
you're not sure or you don't have the money, then please wait
and email back when you're ready to send payment. If you do
place a hold then please CANCEL the hold if you're not going
to order.
2. Please specifically ask for an item to be held in the message
and/or the subject line. People sometimes say "do you still
have ____ available?" when they don't really want the item at
that time.
3. Please be specific about what item(s) wanted. There may be an
open copy, an unopened one, one with autographs, one with some
scratches or damaged inserts, all priced differently. You may
just want to just paste in the entire line from the catalog to
avoid confusion.
4. Please send payment right away - the same day you receive
notification if possible. Items are held for 10 days unless
other arrangements are made. If you're unable to send payment
in this amount of time please email back when you're ready and
make a hold request. If you really need more time for some
reason then explain the situation and CMX will try to work
something out.
5. If you're unable to send payment right away PLEASE contact CMX
as soon as possible. Other people may want the item that's
being held for you. Please give them that chance. If the 10
days are up but you've already sent payment please be sure to
email CMX so the items won't be returned to the catalog. If
you need more then the normal hold time, please contact CMX.
6. When sending payment be sure to include your NAME, ADDRESS and
any ITEMS and SERVICES wanted (including shipping/handling and
insurance) and the EMAIL that the items were held under on the
order form or a sheet of paper (other than your check or the
envelope). Please list each item seperatly. If someone orders
a $10 CD and sends $18 there's no way to tell if the $8 is for
Priority Mail, insurance, delivery tracking or what unless the
information is listed. IF information isn't provided CMX will
make a best guess and send the order that way.
7. Please CANCEL YOUR HOLD if you change your mind. It's amazing
how often people place holds and then never send payment. If
you don't want the items you've placed on hold PLEASE cancel
it by sending an email to cmxmusic@gmail.com. Someone may want
the item that is on hold for you.
An order form is available on the web site or with the confirmation
email you'll receive when placing a hold. It's not required that
you use this form but people often leave off needed information
when it's not used.
