PayPal  is  a  free  service (for individuals) that lets you send
money to anyone else with a PayPal account.  You get $5 deposited
in your account after fulfilling all the requirements.

However...

Signing up and receiving your $5 bonus used to be a pretty simple
procedure.  Unfortunatly  PayPal  has  made it harder and harder.
You'll  still  get  your  $5 bonus for signing up but you have to
jump through a few hoops first.  There's no cost involved but (as
of 4/2003) besides verifying your account,  you  have to transfer
$250  and  sign up for a money market account to earn interest on
your money.  If you don't want to do this you can still  sign  up
for free and not get the $5 bonus.  You still need to verify your
account but you don't need to transfer money to PayPal or sign up
for the money market option.

money to  friends  or  just  have them  send you the $5 either by
check or direct deposit into your bank account at no cost.
